Remember Pancake Day and you'll remember it for next year. An unusual event well worth experiencing. The town shops are boarded up, the game plays in the street with goal posts 2 miles apart. Not for the feint hearted or unfit.
3 types of people involved: Hardened Huggers, fit Runners and the vast majority - the spectators.
Over the years it's featured on countless TV programmes and has seen visitors from Blue Peter, (local boy Simon Green and Peter Duncan), Tiswas, (Chris Tarrant) and Dave Allen. Oh and Prince Charles turned the ball up one year.
